South Tyneside looks set to enjoy a mini-heatwave on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 according to Met Office forecasters.
The Met Office is predicting a rise in temperatures over the next few days across the UK, with South Shields set to experience highs of 25°c.
The Met Office website says: “It should stay dry across the region with some good spells of sunshine. Feeling warm inland, but developing onshore breezes will keep coastal areas a little cooler.”
