South Shields pub's bank holiday music and footy feast
There are some great musical turns in a South Shields pub this bank holiday.
A South Shields pub is making a very musical bank holiday weekend for its customers – with a couple of breaks for Premier League football.
The Cyprus on Chichester Road gets people in the mood by starting the weekend with their Ska, Rocksteady & Reggae Party at 7pm on Friday, August 28.
On Saturday at 4pm singer and acoustic guitarist Chris Wraith takes to the stage, followed by punk / ska / new wave band The Panic Report at 9pm.
Sunday, August 30 has Dean Palmer at 8pm with his acoustic set, while bank holiday Monday sees the Blue Moon Band performing classic rock.
Amid this musical feast The Cyprus has live televised Premier League football with Newcastle United’s trip to Tottenham kicking off at 5.30pm on Saturday, while Sunderland’s clash with Fulham at the Stadium of Light at 2pm on Sunday.
Other footy fixtures will be broadcast too. Something for everyone.
