Newcastle United are tracking striker John McAtee ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

The club has been watching the Scunthorpe United player since an under-23 fixture between the two clubs in November, reports ScunthorpeLive.
McAtee has since impressed in the League Two club’s first team.
The 20-year-old joined last summer after being released by Shrewsbury Town.
McAtee – who has scored two goals – signed a one-year deal, though the club reportedly has an option to extend it.
