Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce promised changes to his Newcastle United XI for the Carabao Cup – and he stayed true to his word.
Here’s how #NUFC reacted to the news on Twitter ahead of tonight’s second round tie against Blackburn Rovers at St James’ Park.
@nufcsanjay – “It's also a big opportunity for Joelinton to get a goal and a bit of confidence back. Hopefully we see a good debut from Fraser too, he'll be massive for us this season. Chance for Barlaser to show what he's capable of as well, he looked great in pre season.”
@LM_0200 LM – “Would've liked to see Murphy and Matty start tbh, would've been a stronger team.”
@Tampers86 – “How come we‘ve had such a good window yet still have no defenders or strikers.”
@Magpie24_7 – “Time to show what you can do Dan Barlaser! Big chance for him tonight (v Blackburn).”
