Bruno Guimaraes is searching for his first international trophy with Brazil this summer at the Copa America.
The Newcastle United midfielder started Brazil’s final warm-up match against hosts USA in Orlando on Wednesday evening. Guimaraes played a role in the opening goal scored by Real Madrid forward Rodrygo before Christian Pulisic cancelled the early goal out before the half-hour mark.

Brazil open their Copa America group stage matches against Costa Rica in Los Angeles a week on Tuesday. They also face Paraguay and Colombia in the group.
The five-time world champions are unbeaten in friendly matches under new manager Dorival Júnior but are winless in their last four competitive games - losing each of the last three. It’s a record Guimaraes and his team-mates will be looking to put right at the upcoming tournament.
And following the friendly draw against the United States, Guimaraes posted images of himself in action during the match along with the caption: “Adjust the details you need and follow. See you at Copa America! Let's go Brazil.”

Should Brazil reach at least the semi-final and Guimaraes play a regular role every game, he could head into the 2024-25 season on the back of a 66-game campaign.
