Burnley boss Sean Dyche sends out defiant message to Newcastle United, Fulham and Brighton
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is confident his side will accumulate enough points to seal Premier League safety ahead of facing Newcastle United this weekend.
The Clarets surrendered a two-goal lead at Southampton to lose 3-2 last time out – meaning they’re just four points above Steve Bruce’s side and seven clear of 18th placed Fulham.
A win for United would boost their survival hopes and in the process bring Dyche’s men back into danger.
But Dyche is confident Burnley will shake off their disappointment on the south coast and secure their top-flight status as they welcome Newcastle to Turf Moor on Sunday.
He said: “We have plenty more football and important games coming up.
"The emphasis remains the same. People didn't expect us to beat Arsenal, Liverpool, probably Everton.
"All wins count and every game is important in the Premier League and I focus on every game and give it all my attention as to do my staff and hopefully as do the players."
