Wilson, Schar and Javier Manquillo were injured in Saturday’s 3-2 win over Southampton at St James’s Park.
Schar’s facing several months on the sidelines with a knee injury, while Manquillo suffered what head coach Steve Bruce described as an “awful” ankle problem.
Wilson, signed last summer from Bournemouth, limped out of the game with a hamstring problem, and the striker is working to be back “ASAP”. The 28-year-old tweeted: “Great team performance today. Lads had to dig deep. I will be working hard to get back on the pitch ASAP! Congrats @joewillock and Miggy (Almiron).”
