The 29-year-old frontman has missed the Magpies last six games with a hamstring injury but looks set to return in the next few weeks.
Wilson is Newcastle’s top scorer with 10 Premier League goals this season, after arriving from Bournemouth last summer.
The striker posted a video with some of those goals on his Instagram page, with the caption: “Can’t wait to get back out there.”
