Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has made just ONE change to the side who drew a blank at West Brom on Sunday, with Jeff Hendrick replaced by Dwight Gayle.

And while this change is being seen as a positive move by the Newcastle United fanbase, many don’t think Bruce has gone far enough.

There is no place on the United bench for either of Matty Longstaff or Elliot Anderson.

Here’s how #NUFC Twitter reacted to the news...

@dpgcrimethink – “And here the Toon stumble into yet another "must win" fixture with little confidence. Some of these lot are due a performance, right? Right? Anyway, here's hoping. Howay the lads! Let’s put some bloody graft in and bring home an important 3 points!”

@gerfagantoon1 – “Here we go again, another 2 hours of pain, at least Jeff got benched on the plus side.”

@chris_armin – “I don’t care how or why or who or when. Just please win tonight lads!”

@Beech15C – “I don’t care how we get the 3 points but just win.”

@KMEasy83 – “Good to see Gayle back in the squad but I thoroughly expect him to no doubt be played out of position and given no service whatsoever.”

@Joeeeeeee_96 – “Can't complain too much about that team selection bar Krafth and Shelvey. Whether we have enough to pull something off is another thing altogether. HWTL!!”
