Newcastle United fans have desperately been trying to see the positives from another goalless Premier League game, but that praise hasn’t stretched quite as far as Danny Rose.

Here’s how social media reacted to the latest Magpies draw…

@MaxGavinsMusic – “Definite improvement on the last few. Gayle offered more than Joelinton ever has.”

@zhorze – “Crosses have to improve from Manquillo & Rose. If Rose came to the North to retire, Bruce must let him know he can't start.”

@SteveMcKenna_ – “I love Almiron. Don’t think I’ve ever seen an #nufc player work harder. Just needs to add a bit composure in the final third to his game, which he’ll probably do at a better club with better coaching.”

@Zach_Leggett – “Positives? Well at least with the new system we will have more options with Lazaro available to play in his proper position and ASM on the left. Just need to convince our CM's to push up further - one of them has to get in the box more.”

@jazadal – “32 points with 10 games to play - surely even a Sunday League manager couldn’t screw this up.”

@TheFatbellyFred – “We’re only 1 point better off now than we were 28 games into last season..the difference? we have an £80m front 3 instead of a £24m front 3. Conceded more, scored less, invested £80m.. Rafa was given £120m in 3 years.. Bruce got 2/3rds of it in 1..”

@Stephen24Brown – “Looks like my self imposed not drinking until #NUFC win again could go on for a while.”
