9. LM: Allan Saint-Maximin
The Frenchman has played the majority of this season up-front, however, he is probably more suited to a role out wide. With wingers being asked to tuck inside and offer a direct threat to the goal that way under Howe, Saint-Maximin could really flourish in this role. Photo: Stu Forster

10. CAM: Miguel Almiron
Since his arrival, Almiron has played in a multitude of roles, whether that’s out wide or in centre-midfield. However, it can be argued that his best displays have come in a no.10 role just behind a striker with his display against West Brom in the FA Cup in March 2020 a particularly strong example of this. 11. ST: Callum Wilson
Who else? If Wilson was priceless to Newcastle before Howe’s appointment, then the latest developments will have only strengthened the claim that he is United’s most valuable and important player. Photo: Julian Finney
