Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron injury update as SIX Newcastle United players miss out
Steve Bruce has given an injury update on Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron.
Shelvey and Almiron missed Newcastle United’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor last weekend with calf and hamstring problems respectively.
However, the pair returned to training yesterday and could involved for the 11th-placed club against Crystal Palace at St James’s Park tomorrow.
“Almiron and Shelvey have a chance,” said head coach Bruce. “They trained yesterday. They both seemed OK. I wouldn’t take a risk if I didn’t think they were right. The risk was last week. We think they’ve done enough in the gym to make sure they are OK. The big risk would have been playing them last weekend.”
