Hide AdMaddison was linked with a move to St James’s Park throughout the summer but the Magpies saw multiple bids for the 25-year-old rejected by the Foxes.
Newcastle will reportedly move for Maddison again in January, however, the Red Devils may look to swoop for the midfielder who has five goals and two assists in just eight Premier League games this season.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been touted as a potential destination for Maddison, however, the report also states that Leicester would likely accept nothing less than £80million for their star man.
Although both Spurs and Manchester United have ‘shown interest’ in Maddison, Newcastle’s offers in summer remain the only ‘concrete’ bids for him.

Hide AdJuventus midfielder Weston McKennie would be a ‘great addition’ to Newcastle United - according to former USA international Eric Wynalda.
McKennie, 24, has been a regular for the Old Lady this season, however, their struggles both domestically and in Europe mean a reshuffle could be on the cards at the Turin club - one that could result in McKennie leaving Serie A.
Speaking to Vegas Insider, Wynalda insisted that McKennie would be ‘great’ in England’s top-flight and name dropped Newcastle as a potential destination for the USMNT star.
Wynalda said: "He could move to the Premier League and it might even be Newcastle. He would be a great addition to some of the middle tier teams in the Premier League.

"I believe it has helped him a lot being in the Bundesliga and Serie A. He has really developed his tactical skills in Italy, and if you want to learn how to defend, Italy is the place to go."
Before moving to Juventus in 2020, McKennie played for Dallas in his native USA and Bundesliga side Schalke 04. He has also earned 34 caps for his country, scoring nine goals.
