Matty Longstaff set to stay at Newcastle United amid Watford interest

The Newcastle United midfielder is wanted on loan by the Championship club ahead of today’s deadline.

However, Longstaff – who signed a new deal at Newcastle last summer – is set to stay at St James’s Park.

The 20-year-old has found starts hard to come by since recovering from a thigh injury, though he did impress over the festive period.

Longstaff's elder brother Sean is also set to stay at United.
