Newcastle United transfer news: Magpies, West Brom and Sheffield United eyeing Cardiff City prospect as Arsenal 'will listen to offers' for midfielder

Despite Newcastle United’s poor league position, there is still plenty of talk surrounding the summer window…

Star winger Allan Saint-Maximin, however, admits he is ‘not worried’ about Newcastle United’s current Premier League predicament.

After defeat to Manchester United, the Magpies sit just three points above the top flight dropzone – and while Saint-Maximin accepts Fulham are closing in on Steve Bruce’s side, he has faith United have the ‘power’ to turn around their fortunes.

“We have to win as many games as possible. We see Fulham come up really close, every player knows it,” said Saint-Maximin.

"We have to do everything to win the next game.”

Newcastle United face Wolves at St James’ Park on Saturday, before a trip to West Brom.

"I don't worry a lot because I know we can win a lot of games,” Saint-Maximin told NUFC TV.

“You saw against Everton. You see that we have the power to do that but we just have to do that more, to do that every game, and that's the problem I think for me.”

Indeed, Mike Ashley could be facing a fresh £100 million black hole.

Ashley's Frasers Group fortune is set to take a financial hit to the tune of £100 million - and that's without the threat of Premier League relegation halving the value of Newcastle United.

The group has warned of a deepening of the retail industry's financial black hole brought on by extending non-essential shop closures until April 12, at the earliest.

But what about transfers? Here, we take you through the latest gossip from the Magpies and their Premier League rivals:
