After defeat to Manchester United, the Magpies sit just three points above the top flight dropzone – and while Saint-Maximin accepts Fulham are closing in on Steve Bruce’s side, he has faith United have the ‘power’ to turn around their fortunes.

“We have to win as many games as possible. We see Fulham come up really close, every player knows it,” said Saint-Maximin.

"We have to do everything to win the next game.”

Newcastle United face Wolves at St James’ Park on Saturday, before a trip to West Brom.

"I don't worry a lot because I know we can win a lot of games,” Saint-Maximin told NUFC TV.

“You saw against Everton. You see that we have the power to do that but we just have to do that more, to do that every game, and that's the problem I think for me.”
