The Magpies head coach confirmed there was no fresh injury news to report, which means Callum Wilson, Fabian Schar, Javier Manquillo and Federico Fernandez remain sidelined, though Bruce did provide a positive update on the latter two.
Bruce said: “Thankfully, we’ve not got any new injuries ahead of the weekend.
"Federico Fernandez trained yesterday and the day before but Sunday will be too soon for him. We’re hoping he’ll be ready for Wolves.”
He added: “The one who looks better is Manquillo, he twisted his ankle badly, but has responded very well to treatment.”
So, who will get the nod for the Premier League clash at Old Trafford?
Flick through our gallery as we predicted Bruce’s line-up – which includes a somewhat controversial change:

9. Dwight Gayle
Gayle struggled to replicate Callum Wilson's threat from the right-hand side but Bruce seems prepared to give the striker more opportunities. Perhaps a more central role will suit the 30-year-old. Photo: STU FORSTER

10. Miguel Almiron
Has offered a natural threat when played in his favoured central role. Newcastle could do with a similar performance to his Southampton one. Photo: OWEN HUMPHREYS

11. Allan Saint-Maximin
When he is fit, he has to play. Capable of winning a game on his own and brings so much more confidence to the Magpies attack. Photo: Gareth Copley
