Newcastle United hit by Callum Wilson injury blow

The Newcastle United striker was taken off before he break with Eddie Howe’s side leading 1-0 through an Allan Saint-Maximin goal.

Wilson, the club’s six-goal leading scorer, suffered the injury in a challenge with Fred.

The 29-year-old attempted to play on after suffered the injury late in the half, but he was replaced by Jacob Murphy in added time.

Howe had made six changes for the game after losing players to injuries and Covid-19.
