Had a decent volleyed effort saved early on after being set-up by Kieran Trippier. Got into some good areas down the left but lacked the killer cross or shot on goal.

Showed a good range of passing to keep Newcastle pressing on the front foot.

It is remarkable that just six days ago he left the field in tears with what looked like a nasty ankle injury. Wasn’t at his usual best but remained composed in possession and got stuck in.
