Newcastle United £114m transfer warning issued as new signings set to be unveiled
Newcastle United transfers: Eddie Howe has spoken about the club’s transfer business so far.
Eddie Howe has issued a transfer warning following Newcastle United’s £114million summer spend so far.
The Magpies have sold Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon for a combined fee in the region of £170million while bringing in youngsters Ewen Jaouen, Bazoumana Toure, Sean Steur and Aladji Bamba.
With all players below the age of 21 and unproven in the Premier League, the Newcastle head coach believes patience will be required to help them adapt and settle to their new surroundings. A similar message was also delivered regarding £55million signing Anthony Elanga last summer despite the winger already being established in the Premier League.

When asked if there were any imminent signings to follow the latest arrival of Bamba, Howe said: “Nothing that I know of.
“I think Bamba will bring unique qualities. He's a lovely size. He's good technically. But I think with all the signings that we've made this summer, he's going to need a little bit of time and patience. And I think we all need to be very supportive to the players that have come in.
“I don't think we can put too much pressure on them. I think it's part of my job to try and take the pressure off them and just allow them to develop and to enjoy their time here.we'll just have to see their physical state when we get them.”
