FT - Newcastle United win 2-1

Stan Flaherty, provider for the first, cuts in from the right to get himself in on the act, curling home with his left foot for 2-1.

A finish right out the top drawer!

Toure almost has a second as he finds space at the back post and fires powerfully at Wickens, who saves but allows it to squirm through his legs. It stays out, though. Remains 1-1.

Stan Flaherty finds Yannick Toure in the middle and the big striker smashes home via the post.

Newcastle wideman Stan Flaherty smashes one off the post from the right, then on the follow up he sees another effort saved by George Wickens. CLOSE!

TWO more changes for NUFC

Paul Dummett digs out Achraf Lazaar in the middle but the Moroccan fires wide when well-placed. A good chance for United, who’ve started this second 45 with renewed vigour.

And we’re off again - ONE change for NUFC

Matty Longstaff’s afternoon is over with Joe Oliver coming on for the second half. It was a quiet return for the midfielder, but seemingly a pre-planned substitution.

HT - and NUFC are behind

Here’s Liam Kennedy’s HT player ratings:

Dan Langley - Some excellent low stops and unlucky not to stop the opener - 7

George Rounsfell - An error for the goal - 5

Ludwig Francillette - Strong in the air but will be disappointed with the goal - 6

Ciaran Clark - Leading from the back, one positive burst with ball at feet - 6

Paul Dummett - Looks a little rusty but it’s no surprise given he’s been out since January - 5

Kyle Scott - Probably the pick of the United bunch. Very vocal and always an option - 7

Matty Longstaff - A quiet return to action for the midfielder so far - 6

Stan Flaherty - Looks a threat cutting in off the right but has done little damage so far - 6

Rodrigo Vilca - Seen the rough and the smooth from the Peruvian so far - 6

Achraf Lazaar - Looks well, well off the pace - 5

Yannick Toure - Struggling to make the ball stick. Should have scored early on - 5
