After falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Hudson-Odoi had been made available for loan this summer and had admirers across the continent.
A move to Borussia Dortmund failed to materialise earlier this month as the winger looked for a route out of Chelsea and into regular first-team football.

Should his move to Bayer Leverkusen be complete, Hudson-Odoi is set to link-up with former Magpies target Moussa Diaby at the German side.
Newcastle had enquired about signing the Frenchman during the early part of the summer window but were reluctant to meet Leverkusen’s £60million valuation, before eventually walking away from a deal.
