Steve Bruce has revealed Clark picked up a knock while away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

But Bruce will have both Florian Lejeune and Fabian Schar BACK in his matchday squad.

“Ciaran is our biggest worry coming on with Ireland – he has a knock,” said Bruce from United’s Benton training base this morning.

“Lejeune and Fab Schar have trained and come into the reckoning.

“Flo has the minutes under his belt and is now ready to go. The same with Schar. Both come into contention.

“He (Lejeune) feels he is ready - and he knows his knee better than anybody - that's the most important thing.

“We are losing one, maybe two, but we have two back.”
