Newcastle United have confirmed just one permanent transfer this month with Javier Manquillo moving back to Spain to reunite with Rafa Benitez at Celta Vigo. It had appeared that the Magpies would be relatively quiet this month, however, a flurry of reports surrounding the futures of a couple of key players has sparked the window into life on Tyneside.
Both Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson have been linked with moves away this month whilst Newcastle still have a job to do in order to trim Eddie Howe’s squad and free up some money in order to sign any replacements, should either Trippier or Wilson leave this month, Here, we take a look at 15 players that could leave Newcastle United this month, and five that won’t leave St James’ Park before deadline day:

13. Kieran Trippier
Trippier has been heavily-linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent days. The Bundesliga giants have identified the 33-year-old as a possible addition to their defence and it’s reported that Trippier would be interested in a move, if the two clubs can agree on a deal. | Getty Images

14. Callum Wilson
Wilson has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. Wilson has struggled with injuries this season and whilst allowing him to leave would see Newcastle low on cover in attacking areas, it could free up some wiggle room in the transfer market if they are able to secure a fee for the former Cherries man. | Getty Images

15. Miguel Almiron
Almiron has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia. The Paraguayan would reportedly be open to a move, but any departure would again leave Newcastle depleted in attacking areas. | AFP via Getty Images

16. Alexander Isak
The Sweden international has been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent times and has enjoyed a brilliant campaign in-front of goal so far, despite an injury setback. Although there will be interest in him this month, it’s highly unlikely that he will leave the club. | Getty Images
