Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu REJECTS chance to depart in January window

Christian Atsu has reportedly rejected the chance to leave Newcastle United this window.

The Gazette understands Atsu was one of a number of wide players Celtic boss Neil Lennon enquired about.

United have offered Atsu around a number of clubs as they look to trim their squad following the addition of Nabil Bentaleb, Valentino Lazaro and Danny Rose.

But, according to Sky Sports, Atsu has decided to remain on Tyneside and fight for his place in Steve Bruce's squad.
