Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has picked a STRONG Magpies starting XI for the visit of Oxford United to St James’s Park this afternoon with Nabil Bentaleb making his NUFC debut.
Here's how Twitter reacted to the news…
@gerfagantoon1 – “No excuses with that line up, get the job done.”
@BNJMCG1 – “Strong team! Looking like we’re taking the the cup seriously for once! Nice to see Bentaleb starting.”
@craighenda – “Strong team that something seriously wrong if we don’t go through today!”
@SimplyAlmiron – “I’m expecting Saint Maximin to bag at least 12 goals today. And rainbow flick someone.”
@NUFC_Fan_ – “Credit to Bruce for going for it today. Previous managers have been rightly slaughtered for all but surrendering the cup with their team selection.”
@MadridMagpie – “All for giving the cup a real go, but slightly anxious at the risk of more injuries to the squad coming up to the run in.”
