The Newcastle United striker limped off against Southampton a fortnight ago with a hamstring problem. However, the striker is back in training ahead of the Chelsea game – and is keen to play.
Winger Ryan Fraser, meanwhile, is definitely out with the hamstring problem he reported on the eve of the club’s visit to the St Mary’s Stadium.

Winger Matt Ritchie and midfielder Jonjo Shelvey are also back in training ahead of the Premier League game, while midfielder Miguel Almiron will be assessed today after returning to Tyneside yesterday from international duty with Paraguay.
