Here’s how #NUFC on Twitter reacted to the Anfield team news, which sees United unchanged from their West Ham United win last weekend.

@neilTheMagpie – “Wilson will have one eye on the Euros. He can’t score goals & prove his worth picking splinters out of his backside on the bench. He must be angry!!”

@newpollok14 – “Shelvey in my opinion is a waste of a shirt.”

@Magman55 – “Liverpool are looking to smash us with 4 strikers up top. They think if they hit us for 6 it will give them a confidence boost. We can't afford to ship even more goals. Shelvey shouldn't be playing, nor Joelinton . If we get chances we have to take them.”

@BROWEA – “Why would Willock sign for a us when he can’t even get a game?”

@NickWheelhouse1 – “Comes across a line up by chance that gets a good result, sticks with it for next match without thought if opposition, gets tactically humped by competent manager, blames the players (everyone but Shelvey). Rinse and repeat until next good result.”

@gordon_woodburn – “Steve Bruce the Betamax of football coaches.”

@duttsy69 – “Well Willock can’t play in the next game so I get that decision and I think Wilson should get 35-40 mins as we can’t afford for him to be out again!”
