The NINE Newcastle United youngsters set for a first-team call as Steve Bruce turns to youth
With an injury crisis having gripped the Magpies in recent weeks, several under-23 players are set to given the chance to shine at Spotland.
Here, we take a look at who could be in contention for a role of some sorts in the third round – with NINE youngsters in the frame for a first-team call-up:
1. Owen Bailey

2. Lewis Cass
Fellow defender Cass is absent from the under-23 squad for the visit of Fulham, hinting he could be involved at Rochdale. He's no stranger to the first-team told having been an unused substitute under Rafa Benitez last season. Photo: Jordan Mansfield
