Two tweets from two key Newcastle United takeover players that fans will LOVE to see
Two key Newcastle United takeover players have taken to social media to express their delight at a rare Magpies’ Premier League win – one which takes them six points clear of the top flight drop zone.
PCP Capital Partners director Mehrdad Ghodoussi took to Twitter in the aftermath of United’s 2-1 win at Burnley to let fans know of his feelings.
Ghodoussi tweeted: “Get in lads!!!”. This was followed by four clapping hands emojis.
It comes just seven days after Ghodoussi celebrated United’s Spurs draw with a tweet of: “That was a stressful 90min.”
Followed by another when Fulham were beaten by Aston Villa: “Get in Villa!!! Never thought I’d say that.”
Ghodoussi’s PCP, along with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia and the Reuben Brothers, are waiting on a Premier League arbitration decision to see if the deal he and wife Amanda Staveley have brokered for the takeover of United can progress.
And the man fighting the club’s case in that arbitration, Nick De Marco, has also taken to Twitter to discuss the Magpies’ win.
He said: “Great result! And just as I predicted this morning.”
United owner Mike Ashley has employed De Marco along with Shaheed Fatima to fight the Premier League and force through a definitive decision on the £300m+ takeover of the football club by the PCP-led consortium.
Newcastle are currently in the process of challenging whether the top flight applied their owners’ and directors’ test correctly in assessing potential directors put forward by PIF.
