Valentino Lazaro reacts to Newcastle United move after Steve Bruce talks
The winger has joined on loan from Inter Milan ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup tie against Oxford United at St James’s Park.
“I've only heard great things about the club,” said Lazaro. “I've had good talks with the coach, so I feel very happy to be here now. Those conversations convinced me that this is the right place for me to come."
Head coach Bruce said: "Valentino’s a quality player who'll add to us in attacking areas of the field where we need to improve. He can play in a few positions, but he’s a natural winger with an excellent delivery. We have worked hard to get him ahead of other clubs, so I'm delighted with what we've done.”
Lazaro, the club’s second January transfer window signing after fellow loanee Nabil Bentaleb, will wear the No.23 jersey at Newcastle.
