Chris found himself at the bottom of the leader board in the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final on Saturday, December 7 after dancing in the hopes of making it into the grand final and getting his hands on that Glitterball trophy.
Along with his tough competition Emma Barton, Kelvin Fletcher and Karim Zeroual, he took on not one but two performances in the hopes of impressing the judges: the Viennese Waltz and the Rumba.

In a VT before he took to the floor Chris said: “I’m shocked to be in the semi-final.”
Karen treated Chris to well-wishes from members of the South Shields public and he was chuffed, as a dad-of-one, to see that children have been watching too. He said: “It has given me such a boost.”
While he claimed the Viennese Waltz sounded “like a biscuit,” he had a smile on his face throughout the routine.

Hide AdChris admitted the “dizziness” and having two dances to focus on caused him to make a few mistakes in that performance but Craig Revel Horwood claimed he was “proud” of him.
In a judges discussion about Chris’ Strictly journey, Shirley Ballas said: “Going from a complete beginner to the semi-final, people have to be in awe of that.”
Bruno claimed the second performance could be his chance to “redeem himself” but after Chris’ Rumba, Craig said it was “the wrong dance, wrong performer.”
Chris put his all into the second dance and even teared up at the end and it wasn’t all negative as Bruno said: “It is impossible not to be involved and moved by it.”
