Hebburn pub's bank holiday weekend of live music and Premier League football

If you like 80s music and Premier League football, this should be the pub for you.

One of Hebburn’s most popular pubs has a weekend which combines two great South Tyneside passions – music and football.

The recently refurbished Longship on Victoria Road East is hosting a live gig on Saturday, August 29 at 8pm when much-loved trio Pretty in Pink take to the stage, playing massive 1980s hits from the likes of the Human League, George Michael, Blondie, Depeche Mode and many more. Entry to the show is free.

Football fans will be interested to know that The Longship’s giant screens will be showing Newcastle United’s trip to struggling Tottenham Hotspur. The kick-off is at 5.30pm on Saturday.

On Sunday, August 30 the red and white half of Hebburn have the chance to watch Sunderland in Premier League action against Fulham at the Stadium of Light, with the kick-off at 2pm.

The Longship is also reminding quiz fans that their big quiz night takes place each Thursday from 8.30pm.
