Feeding Families is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Dobson as its new Chief Executive Officer, who officially joined the organisation on Monday 17th November.

Wayne steps into the role following the leadership of Juliet Sanders, the charity’s original Founder and CEO, who has guided Feeding Families from a small local initiative into a nationally recognised charity supporting tens of thousands of people every year. Juliet will remain in post throughout the Christmas period and will work closely with Wayne during a one-month handover to ensure a smooth transition.

Speaking on his appointment, Wayne said: “I’m super honoured to take over this brilliant platform and look at where we can go next and what we can do to improve the offer we have here. I’m excited about how we can reach more people, work with more partners, and provide more relief to those in need — and ultimately support people in poverty.”

Juliet added: “This is an exciting new era for Feeding Families. We always strive to be at the cutting edge of food insecurity, taking new approaches and extending our reach. While our impact is measured in big numbers, it also reflects the family feel that every box contains a story of a family or individual in a time of need. I am sure Wayne shares this heart to continue to make a real difference in the north east to those who need it most.”

The appointment comes at a pivotal time as the charity begins its busiest season of the year, delivering thousands of Christmas food boxes to families across the North East. Wayne’s leadership will help shape the next chapter of Feeding Families’ growth, partnerships, and community impact.
