Drivers warned of South Shields roadworks, with diversions to be put in place
Drivers are being warned of disruptions while roadworks take place in South Shields next month.
South Tyneside Council is taking out an order to close Bents Park Road for 15 days from June 1.
The closure, which will be in force on the entire length of the road, is to allow the council to carry out resurfacing work

Hide AdThe order will come into force on May 24 but it is anticipated the work will take 15 days from June 1.
The closure applies at certain times and will be indicated by traffic signs.
At these times the alternative route will be via Bents Park Road, Sea Road, Beach Road and vice versa.
