Ayoze Perez issues statement after 'worst days' as a footballer
Perez took to Twitter after the season-ending 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at St James's Park.

Hide AdThe result was too late to save Newcastle, who ended the season 18th in the Premier League.
Perez indicated after the Tottenham match that he will stay and play in the Championship next season.
And the 22-year-old also issued a statement on Twitter.
Perez said: "The last days have been the worst days since I'm a football player. We have fought until the end but it wasn't enough.

Perez signed a new long-term deal at St James's Park early this year.
