Claude Puel coy on Newcastle loanee's Islam Slimani's Leicester future


The striker, signed on a half-season deal in January, made his Newcastle United debut in last weekend's 1-0 win Huddersfield Town.
However, Slimani – who had been sidelined with a thigh injury – is not eligible to play against his parent club at the King Power Stadium tomorrow.

United manager Rafa Benitez explained his position on a potential summer move for Sllimani ahead of the Huddersfield game, which was won by a second-half strike from Ayoze Perez.
Leicester manager Claude Puel was asked about Slimani's Leicester future ahead of Newcastle's visit to the King Power Stadium.
“He is a Leicester player, like all the players out on loan,” said Puel.

Newcastle are 12th in the Premier League table – and seven points clear of the relegation zone – ahead of the Leicester game.
