Man admits to causing GBH following an attack at a Jarrow pub

A man has appeared in court in connection with an attack at a Jarrow pub.

Kevin Gosling, of no fixed abode, has appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in relation to an assault at a Jarrow pub on Saturday, September 14.

Police launched an investigation following the incident at the Lakeside Inn, near the Fellgate Estate.

Following an appeal by Northumbria Police this week, Gosling was arrested and charged with section 20 GBH (grievous bodily harm).

He appeared before borough magistrates on Friday, September 20, where he pleaded guilty to the offence.

Magistrates remanded Gosling in custody and he is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Friday, October 18, for sentencing.
