Mum's fury after hit-and-run driver leaves son bleeding and hurt after knocking him off his bike

Northumbria Police is investigating after Shaun Curry and a car collided at the junction of Low Lane and Boldon Lane in South Shields.
His mum Jane Mothersdale is appealing for help to find the driver as her boy recovers from his ordeal.

Hide AdIt happened after he paused to cross Low Lane, with Shaun riding on after he saw the driver wave him across.
The car drove on and collided with his bike before turning right at the mini-roundabout towards Tyne Dock.
Shaun, who will turn 16 on Tuesday, November 10 managed to get up after being hit and reach his home nearby.
Mum Jane then rushed him to South Tyneside District Hospital where he was treated for a broken little finger, a wound on his index finger, a sprained wrist and bruising and scrapes.

Hide AdJane, 39, said: “The car caught him and his bike and he sailed over the handle bars and he landed in a pile next to the kerb.
"Somehow he got his bike and pushed it home and the doctors say the adrenaline is what got him back.
"His bike was covered in blood and it’s a write off.
"They said he was lucky, not because this happened, but because this could have been a lot worse.
"He’s going to be okay, he’s been quiet, but kids bounce back and are resilient.

The vehicle involved in the incident, at around 2pm on Tuesday, November 3, is described as a matt black Ford Focus or Fiesta with tinted windows, black rims and carbon fibre exhaust and a red Ford sign.
It is thought a white Mercedes was also in the area at the time and could help inquiries.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a report of a collision involving a car and a teenage cyclist on Low Lane, South Shields, on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 3.
