South Shields man will appear before judge charged with string of sex offences

A South Tyneside man has appeared in court to face a string of alleged historic sex offence charges.

Terence Cram, 59, of Salisbury Place, South Shields, is accused of committing three indecent assaults.

He also faces three other serious sex offences on varying dates.

Cram did not enter a plea to the charges and his case was sent to Newcastle Crown Court.

He was granted bail on condition he does not contact the alleged victim.

It was adjourned until Tuesday, October 6.
