South Shields thug who attacked woman is jailed after flouting restraining order
Steven Puttock originally received an 18-week jail term, which was suspended for a year, in May after he was convicted of assaulting his victim in South Shields on May 3.
But he breached both the terms of this sentence and a restraining order imposed on March 30 by contacting her and entering an address in the town on August 22.

Puttock, 27, of Lord Nelson Street, Tyne Dock, was also fined £120 and ordered to pay both a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after he admitted both offences in court earlier this week.
