Drivers warned to leave extra time for journey after A1(M) smash

Motorists are facing delays on the A1(M) southbound following a collision.

Durham Constabulary is warning there is a hold up between junction 60, which leads to the A689, and 59, which heads on to the A68, due to road traffic incident.

A spokesman said: "Please allow extra time for your journey or seek an alternative route.
