Gini Wijnaldum will let Newcastle decide his future

Wijnaldum has been tipped for a summer exit from St James’s Park.
But the midfielder will not attempt to force a move away from Tyneside.

Wijnaldum – who ended the season as United’s top scorer with 11 goals – wouldn’t be drawn publicly on his future after the season-ending 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
“I don’t know,” said Wijnaldum, signed from Dutch title-winners PSV Eindhoven last summer for £14.5million.
“We will see. I’m still devastated that we will be relegated.

Wijnaldum – who laid bare his frustrations with the lack of teamwork at Newcastle last month – wants Benitez to stay at Newcastle to manage the club in the Championship.
Benitez has had talks with owner Mike Ashley and managing director Lee Charnley since the end of the season.
And the 56-year-old is expected to make a decision on his future next week.
