Invite for South Tyneside charity workers to attend Royal Wedding
Vicky Burnip and Hannah Underwood from The Key have received a letter to attend at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day on May 19.
The pair will travel to London the night before and will take their places alongside 1,200 others in the grounds of Windsor Gardens to celebrate the nuptials.
The couple will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The invitees chosen by Lord Lieutenants from across the country to enjoy the big day from the special location.
Vicki, deputy chief executive officer with the project said: “We had been told the charity had been put forward for a place at the Royal Wedding, but we were also told that there had been hundreds of others also been nominted so an invite wasn’t a certainty.
“We received the letter to say we were invited a few weeks ago. It’s so exciting not just for us attending but the fact the charity has been recognised for all the work that we do.
“We are both really proud to be representing the charity at such a special event.
“Neither of us have chosen our outfits yet. That’s something we are both looking forward to doing.”
