We now know that Britain will leave the European Union after the majority of the electorate opted for a Leave vote.
So it seemed that this sign, which is currently in place while construction work continues on the city's new bridge, is speaking volumes today.
Remain voters across the country were left disappointed earlier today as a Brexit vote was officially announced to the world, with a 51.9% majority.
And it has been a day of shocks all around with the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron, and a vote of no confidence in Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
