Newcastle announce squad for end-of-season tournament
Newcastle United's squad for next month's HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens in Hong Kong has been announced.
Football development manager Peter Beardsley will take a 10-man squad, including midfield pair Dan Barlaser and Sean Longstaff, to next month's tournament.
But winger Callum Roberts misses out with the ankle injury he suffered in the club's final Under-21 Premier League game of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Newcastle – who won the tournament in 2012 – have been drawn against Aston Villa, Kitchee, and Hong Kong Football Club.
SQUAD: Nathan Harker, Michael Newberry, Liam Gibson, Jack Hunter, Callum Williams, Dan Ward, Owen Gallagher, Sean Longstaff, Luke Charman and Dan Barlaser.
