The relegated club is looking to overhaul its squad in readiness for next season's Championship campaign.

Newcastle are hopeful that Rafa Benitez will stay on at St James's Park.

The club was today linked with a key man at Rangers who served under Benitez at Liverpool.

Benitez handed Jamie Sterry, 20, his United debut in the season-ending 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
