Hebburn care home residents experience wonders of the sea with a virtual visit of Sea Life London Aquarium
Care home residents experienced the wonders of sea life with a special virtual tour of the Sea Life London Aquarium.


Staff and residents at Barchester’s Bedewell Grange care home in Hebburn were treated to a virtual tour of the underwater sea life by the team aquarium team, getting the chance to see hundreds of species of sea creatures from the care home.
Residents were lucky enough to get up close and personal with the Aquarium’s colony of Gentoo Penguins and were able to watch feeding time for Green Sea turtles and numerous sharks.

Hide AdSEA LIFE London Aquarium is home to more than 300 species and 4,000 creatures, including Gentoo Penguins, Sea Turtles and Seahorses, which are cared for by its dedicated team of 15 Aquarists.


General Manager of Bedewell Grange Care Home, Gail Donaldson said: “Our residents love finding out about new things and they are all especially interested in animals so we were delighted to be able to watch this presentation. We had so many questions, it was brilliant to be able to ask James and his team all about their experiences of working with the different creatures.”
Bedewell Grange, located on Campbell Park Road, in Hebburn, provides residential and dementia care, respite stays for 50 residents from respite care to long term stays and is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers
