A photo of seven-year-old Isabella Grant of Horsley Hill showing off her dance moves during lockdown, has made it down to the final few of a national competition - with thousands of people getting behind her.

Her photo - which has had 3,400 likes on the page - is in with a shot of taking the top prize, the chance to represent the company and win a photo shoot.

Mum, Chloe Waugh, 25, said: “I didn’t expect her to get this far in the competition at all, she has had an amazing response with people commenting from all over, it’s incredible to read all the lovely things people are saying.

“She’s over the moon to have got this far, I’ve been reading out the comments to her and she’s just beaming from ear to ear.”

She had just made it through to the Freestyle Dance Championships before the coronavirus outbreak but only had the chance to compete once before the lockdown came into place.

“It’s been a real struggle for her, Isabella absolutely lives and breaths dancing but she’s never stopped even in this lockdown - she still does all her dance classes online,” continued Chloe.

“At the start of her dancing journey, she was very shy and didn’t like having her photo taken so to win would be a real confidence boost.

“I would love to see people get behind her.”
