Schoolboy forfeits Fortnite and Fifa points as he donates pocket money to the NHS

The seven-year-old from South Shields has now raised more than £500, which has been gifted to the NHS – with an invite for others to help him in his campaign.

Danny, a pupil at Seaview Primary, lives with mum Kate, 32, who works for Hays Travel, dad Wayne, a commercial diver, and brother Casey, one.

Kate said: “Danny came downstairs and said ‘Mam, I want to give my pocket money to the NHS.

“He waits until every Friday for his £5 and he always puts it towards Fifa, he loves playing it so much.

“He usually uses it to buy a pack so he can get players and he plays Fortnite as well.

“We said alright and thought that would be it, but when he came down the next day, he said he really wanted to do it and he set it up all by himself.

“Within three hours of setting up the page he had £145.

“He’s really quite shy, but he made the video and I put it on Facebook.

“We’re very proud and it’s quite emotional that he’s thought about helping.”

The cash has been gifted to NHS Charities Together and Association of NHS Charities.
